Experiential Learning in Language Education

Experiential and service learning innovations by 2014:

ESL will operate in a context characterized by

--real time communication
--virtual reality contexts
--personal leadership models leading to individualized learning contexts
--stronger life-long learning focus (--family focus)
--multidimensional models of human interaction
--central use of technology

The value of these innovations means that ESL takes on a central place in both formal and nonformal education. This distinction is increasingly less important as knowledge production and innovation become integrated into individuals’ self-definitions.
