Semester Stress
I haven't updated this blog in quite awhile, and it's because I've been a bit stressed lately. I'm finishing up moving my residence, from south Minneapolis to St. Anthony, where we're renting a slightly bigger, nicer, and cheaper space. I'm getting ready to really get digging in to doing my dissertation, and I'm glad to be living in a space more conducive to the work I need to get done, but the move has been hard.
It's also a hard teaching year. I don't really feel like getting into that, for a number of reasons, but I'll just throw out as a teaser that first year students can be a bit challenging, particularly when they're struggling to adapt to the culture of the university. Feel free to leave comments remind me that teaching is a noble profession and all of that. Right now, I just want a couple days away from it all, and that's not going to happen until December. Who knew that I would look forward to winter?

Hi, Laurene.
Because I have not accessed your blog for a while, I was actually a little glad that you
had not updated your blog much. Hahaha...
Anyway, the fact that you moved means that
when I visit you next time, I will be at your
new house, right!?
Have you enjoyed the fall weather and
autum leaves?
Now in Japan, it started to FINALLY cool down
a little but today it was NOT...unfortunately.
I have not gotten teaching job but I want
to pursue the job although it may take
more time. If I really would like to introduce
intercultural communication, it seems that
English class is the one. And, if not possible
to do with my MA, I defenately go further
to make my dream possible...
