Overview
The method of photo voice gives the informant the ability to speak through the lens of a camera. It is a powerful tool in raising visual data. In this particular photo voice we invited students who spent time in the LSBE building to capture pictures of positive as well as negative aspects of the new space.
These are the two questions that we presented to the students who participated in the photo voice.
[1] What areas or parts of the building do you find most beneficial?
[2] What areas or parts of the building do you find least satisfying or would you like to change?
Students took the cameras to answer these questions through photographs. After going into the space and capturing all the photos students than provided reasoning behind their shots. As researchers we collected photos, responses, and then looked for patterns between respondents to begin making meaning of the data.
The following links are to individual photos and responses from the field.
