26th Annual Kann Lecture: "The Nazi Occupation Policies in Bohemia and Serbia: A comparison"
Arnold Suppan, University of Vienna; Monday, September 13. A reception following the lecture will honor Gary Cohen for his nine years as director of the Center for Austrian Studies.

Opening reception September 17; show runs at Nash Gallery from September 7 to October 7.

English professor and novelist Charles Baxter (Saul & Patsy, The Feast of Love) again hosts the Third Annual Benefit for Hunger 7:30 pm Wednesday, September 22. All proceeds benefit Second Harvest Heartland, the Upper Midwest's largest hunger relief organization.

The event includes readings by memoirist and poet Patricia Hampl, poet and flash fiction writer Ray Gonzalez, poet and memoirist Madelon Sprengnether, novelist M. J. Fitzgerald, and poet Maria Damon. All are professors within the Department of English's Creative Writing Program.
