CLA hosted annual academic technology showcases from 2008 to 2010. Showcases featured projects that were made possible with student technology fees, shared with the University community how CLA was using technology in support of teaching and learning, and provided an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the contributions our colleagues make in this space.
The College of Education and Human Development has also been engaging their collegiate community in an annual academic technology showcase since 2008.
This year our colleges will work together, along with our partner, the Office of Information Technology, to invite everyone in the University community to apply to be presenters and to attend a joint event. Our hope for 2012 is that the learning, sharing, and connections that have been made within our own colleges can be deepened even more with the opportunity to bring the diversity of innovations happening around our institution into one collective and inclusive event.
The 2012 Academic Technology Showcase: Innovation in Teaching, Learning, and Research will demonstrate how members of the University community--primarily faculty--are using technology to innovate in teaching, learning, and research. More than 50 presentations will showcase a variety of projects from across the University. The event will be similar to an open house poster session, and presenters may use posters, computer displays, or other technology.
