Information Sessions: Promotion and Tenure information sessions are scheduled for the following dates and times:
- Meeting with Chairs/Directors, Faculty Advisors/Caseworkers, and Support Staff: Monday, 14 April 2008; 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.; 202 Johnston Hall.
- Meeting with Tenure-track and Tenured Faculty: Tuesday, 15 April 2008; 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.; 101 Walter.
Agenda
items will include a review of the relevant documents which govern and
inform the promotion and tenure process; a discussion of annual
appraisals of probationary faculty; an overview of the promotion and
tenure process and timeline for 2008-09; and a discussion concerning
the various elements of promotion and tenure dossiers. Particular
attention will be given to the changes to the Board of Regents Policy -
Faculty Tenure, the University's new Procedures for Reviewing Candidates for Tenure and/or Promotion: Tenure-Track and Tenured Faculty and revised unit 7.12 documents.
