The CLA May/Summer Term Memo and Instructional Funding documents were emailed to Department Chairs, Administrators and Sr. Accountants last week.  There are minor updates to the Funding Guidelines Memo (Summer Term 2010 FundingGuidelines.doc).   

All of the Summer Term documents are available on the CLA Intranet (http://www.cla.umn.edu/intranet/fiscal/funding.php) for reference.

CLA Replacement Teaching Funding Guidelines

The CLA Replacement Teaching Guidelines document has been updated to include recent changes in sabbatical savings, and the principles and processes related to requests for temporary instructional needs (TINS).  The revised document is attached and can also be found on the CLA Fiscal Administration website under instructional funding (http://cla.umn.edu/intranet/fiscal/funding.php#ay).

DMS Update

The Donor Management System (DMS) Fund Statements and Fund Summaries now reflect appropriate spendable information for endowments that have had suspended payouts over the past one or two quarters. Contact Rose Pederson (r-kerb@umn.edu) if you have further questions.

CLA Computer Replacement Program (CRP)

Reminder: CLA-OIT has opened the Spring 2010 round of the CLA Computer Replacement Program. To ensure the completion of EFS processing in the current Fiscal Year (FY10), it is very important that orders are submitted as soon as possible. Complete your order by the end of the day on Wednesday May 5 at the very latest.

TIP Deadline is May 13

This is a reminder that the UM Foundation invoicing deadline for June TIP is May 13 at noon. Please invoice as early as possible in the event of questions or if you need to locate an authorized signer. TIP is calculated on each Fund DeptID (z-level) Rollup, and charged on deficits greater than $15,000. Contact Rose Pederson if you have questions about invoicing or TIP.
