IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CLA ADMINISTRATORS AND CLA FINACIAL SERVICE TEAMS

Salary Changes and Updates for Faculty Paid 9 over 12 for the 2010-11 Academic Year

The following changes/updates to faculty appointments must be submitted to your CLA Financial Service Teams for processing by 4:00 on Wednesday, May 26, 2010.

            Faculty switching from "B" term to 9 over 12 (BJ term) need to attach a signed

            Memorandum of Agreement

            Faculty switching from 9 over 12 (BJ term) to "B" (9 months) need to attach a

            signed Memorandum of Agreement

            Faculty paid 9 over 12 (BJ term) who will be on a paid, partially paid, or unpaid

            Leave for the 2010-11 academic year need to attach approved leave forms

            Faculty paid 9 over 12 (BJ term) who will receive promotion to Associate

            Professor ($5,000 salary increase) or Full Professor ($6,000 salary increase)

            for the 2010-11 academic year

Service Teams, please remember to submit attachments with the CLA HRMS Worksheet.

This is a reminder that the UM Foundation invoicing deadline for June TIP is May 13 at noon. Please invoice as early as possible in the event of questions or if you need to locate an authorized signer. TIP is calculated on each Fund DeptID (z-level) Rollup, and charged on deficits greater than $15,000. Contact Rose Pederson if you have questions about invoicing or TIP.

Communication Studies Associate Professor Kirt Wilson will be departing the university this summer to take a position at Pennsylvania State University. Kirt joined the faculty nearly 15 years ago and has been Director of Undergraduate Studies, Director of Graduate Studies, and an award-winning scholar and teacher.  Drop by an open house on Friday, May 14th between 2 and 4 pm in the Campus Club, University of Minnesota, 412 Coffman Union, Rooms A-B-C, Minneapolis, MN as we say goodbye to Kirt and thank him for his years of service here at the U. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
