Dear University of Minnesota Students,
The University of Minnesota Twins Cities (TC)
campus will be closed between Dec. 24, 2010 and Jan. 2, 2011. During this
time, University buildings, services, business offices, and student study
spaces will be closed. Only essential services will be open. This closure is
a cost-savings measure. Utility savings will be realized by turning the heat
down in most buildings and labor savings will be achieved during a time when
University activities are already naturally reduced.
Since each college and school is determining
their own closure plan, I recommend that you contact your college/ school
and/or advisor to learn what, if any services will be provided during the
closure.
Below is a list of some other key services
that will either have limited service or be closed during the winter closure.
Boynton Health Service
Boynton Health Service's East Bank Clinic will be open for pharmacy, walk-in
care, and other limited services on December 28, 29, and 30, but closed on

grading policy, the fall 2010 grades due date for faculty and instructors is

submit grades as soon as possible after the end of final exams on December
22, 2010.) However, please note that One Stop Student Services and other
University staff will not be able to assist you in any manner during this
