The Retirement Incentive Option
(RIO) informational session has been rescheduled for Friday, March 4, from
10-11 a.m., in the Coffman Memorial Union Theater.
Due to a storm that occurred on February 21, the Retirement Incentive Option
(RIO) informational session has been rescheduled for Friday, March 4, from
10-11 a.m., in the Coffman Memorial Union Theater. If you are unable to attend
in person, this session will be broadcast through UMConnect. For more
information or to check system requirements for participating online, go to the University of Minnesota OHR benefits event website. A recorded version of the RIO presentation will be posted online at University of Minnesota OHR benefits event website through May 15.
RIO is an opportunity for voluntary retirement for eligible employees; this
program was approved by the Regents on February 11. Faculty, P&A, Civil
Service, Union Represented, and University employees enrolled in Federal health
benefits may enroll in the program beginning February 15 through May 15, 2011.
All faculty and staff employees who elect to participate in RIO must retire at
a date mutually acceptable to the employee and his/her unit, but no later than
January 11, 2012.
