Annual Review of P/A employees - due 25 February 2011

Process Reminder, Annual Review of P/A Performance in CLA 2010/11

All materials will be submitted to the college electronically via the projects drive no later than Friday, February 25, 2011. Please share this information with academic professional and administrative staff in your units, their supervisors, as well as any others who may support the review process. Information about the annual review of P&A employees is available on the CLA HR Website.

The annual review of P/A performance for spring 2011 will cover the review period of January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010.

The University requires that written performance reviews be prepared annually for all P/A (93xx, 97xx) employees.  This includes P/A employees that are currently on Z-term appointments. A review should occur regardless of the nature of the merit pool.

In the College of Liberal Arts, the annual review of P/A employees includes the following components: written description of unit's review guidelines/process; employee annual performance summary report; a meeting between the employee and supervisor; a supervisor written evaluation of employee.  An employee response to the supervisor's evaluation is an optional component.  These materials must be submitted via the Projects drive as separate PDF files in the following format:

  • Jones, dept guidelines.PDF
  • Jones, employee summary report.PDF
  • Jones, supervisor eval. PDF
  • Jones, employee response.PDF (if applicable)
If you foresee a problem with the deadline given other concurrent deadlines, or have any other questions, please contact Angie Plambeck (5-1805; Plambeck@umn.edu).
