Chief Hestness and Bob Janoski described how the University of Minnesota Police Department and the Offices of Central Security and Emergency Management work together to provide the tools, information, and infrastructure to promote campus safety and to respond to crime, emergencies, and crisis situations. Dr. Christenson addressed the risk for violence in campus settings including those that may arise from mental health considerations, how to identify and address concerns regarding students and employees who may represent a risk to self and others, and reviewed campus resources including mental health services, consultation services, and threat assessment services.
