Activation and testing of new campus-wide emergency voice alert system will begin on Monday, October 24th and will be completed by Friday, October 28th.
When tested, speakers on a number of campus buildings will first emit a short alert tone then the following message will be played: "Attention! This is a test of the University of Minnesota Campus-wide Emergency Alert System. This is only a test." The Department of Emergency Management will be issuing a notification to the University as a whole regarding this testing and activation phase.
