As your new faculty and staff are settling into their labs and offices, they are also settling into their new homes and lives. Among other things, that probably means assisting a spouse or partner in finding a job. To facilitate the job search process for the spouses and partners of recently relocated new faculty and staff, the Relocation Assistance Program (RAP) is sponsoring a workshop entitled: Conducting a Job Search in the Twin Cities If you would like the spouses/partners of your new faculty and staff to be part of this workshop, please forward this email announcement to them. Please RSVP by September 14 by sending an email to raprequests@umn.edu or calling 612.626.0385. For additional information, contact Mary Everley, RAP director, at 612.626.0775. The Web Team transition continues as Karen Swoverland begins a leave on Wednesday, September 12.
As always, continue to contact the Web Team with requests by emailing 4help@umn.edu.
However, be aware that some requests may take the Web Team a little longer than usual to complete. Adding a deadline to your request will help the team prioritize work.
Due to the staffing shortage we ask that you pause requests for new larger projects, including website redesigns.
During this interim period, there is a team of staff from CLA-OIT and Media and Public Relations who will be overseeing and supporting the Web Team's work. Should you have broader questions, Colleen Ware, from CLA Media & Public Relations, is serving as a point person for questions and can be reached at warex005@umn.edu.
