It is with mixed emotions that we announce the resignations of two CLA-OIT staff -- Karen Swoverland and Reed Munson.
Karen Swoverland has accepted a new position as IT Director in the College of Continuing Education effective Monday, July 8, 2013. This is an exciting opportunity for Karen and we wish her the very best in her new role! Karen's last day in CLA will be Friday, July 5. A search committee is being formed to hire a new Assistant Director (Business Relationship Manager). The requisition will be posted on the U employment site next week.
Reed Munson, incident manager and voice of the CLA-OIT call center (4-HELP), has resigned from CLA-OIT and the University of Minnesota effective July 5, 2013. Reed will be service desk manager with National Dentex Corporation, in Falcon Heights, beginning July 8, 2013. Reed has been at the U since 1996 and made important contributions to both the establishment and management of the CLA Help Desk and will be deeply missed. In the interim, as we continue to work towards transition to OIT, the CLA Help Desk will continue to be supported by a team of experienced student employees.
