However, as the purpose of small grants is to encourage innovation, any individual or group with a keen interest in documenting an endangered language is eligible to apply.

  • Details: IGS applications are invited from individuals seeking scholarship funding for up to 3 years. The key objectives of ELDP are: to support the documentation of as many endangered languages as possible; to encourage fieldwork on endangered languages, especially by scholars at an early stage in their academic career with skills in language documentation; to create a repository of language resources for the linguistic, social sciences, and the language communities.
