Young Investigator Grants

  • Fund Type: Grant. Residential: No. Eligibility: Post-doctoral; Applicants must be investigators with an academic rank no higher than assistant professor. This grant is designed for investigators who have completed doctoral studies, although high quality applications from predoctoral applicants will be considered.

  • Deadline: 6/1/2009 Second Deadline: 12/1/2009
  • Details: AFSP research grants support studies that aim to increase understanding of the causes of suicide and factors related to suicide risk, or to test treatments and other interventions designed to prevent suicide. An additional purpose of the Young Investigator Grant is to assist new researchers to obtain the advice, guidance and supervision of an established mentor in a selected area of suicide research.
