Fellowship Program

  • Fund Type: Fellowship. Residential: No. Eligibility: Post-doctoral; U.S. citizens. Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent academic degree or show that they will hold such a degree before taking up the fellowship.
  • Award: $2,700/month for 2-9 months, round-trip airfare (up to $2,000), and a limited budget for research expenses
  • Deadline: 12/1/2009
  • Details: AISLS fellowships support two to nine months of research in Sri Lanka by US citizens who already hold a PhD or the equivalent at the time they begin their fellowship tenure. Both scholars with little or no experience in Sri Lanka as well as specialists are encouraged to apply.
