done done done

Just put the finishing touches on my McNeal drawing...it was getting to the point where every time I tried to "fix" something it just got worse. I guess I don't feel finished because after spending so much time on the drawing its become an obsession, and I have gotten really good at finding its flaws! But like I said I think any revisions are only making it worse at this point. Hope no one is staying up too late...or all night to get all our assignments done. Good luck and I can't wait to turn in my massive stack of drawings from this semester tomorrow!

Damn McNeal

I was in McNeal last night from about 9:30 to 5:30 this morning, drawing my heart out. And I'm no where near finished! I'm staying optimistic, since discouragement impedes progress, but nonetheless, it can get a little disheartening. I have yet to fully shade some areas and I have yet to add texture as well. Hopefully it won't be a very long night. While I was drawing, I would see people occasionally come to get water or use the bathroom. It made me feel better, gave me a sense of solidarity, knowing that there are a handful of others just like me, like us, who are up late late late getting this stuff done. Somehow it made the entire progress easier.

A very random side note: Are any ladies in our class interested in being a sixth roommate? My friends and I found and incredibly beautiful, hip house in great condition and we want to share it with another lady! Talk to me if you're perhaps interested; otherwise, Craigslist, here I come. No killers, serious inquiries only.

homestretch

So I really just wanted to finish the McNeal drawing, so I stayed up late last Tuesday night and finished it. It felt so good to be done with it. Now I just need to complete my assignment 5 drawing which I am struggling with because I have to portray myself in a way that does not even really look like me which is very strange for me. Then again, it is kind of fun to make myself look like concrete.
