I put my video on Media Mill, and it was easy.

You might find these notes helpful:

- Visit Media Mill at http://mediamill.cla.umn.edu
- Click upload video
- Log in with your regular Internet ID & password
- Media Mill gives you a temporary username & password. Take note of these.
- Follow the instructions on screen to download & use the handy uploader.
- Upload your video (see the instructions #3 on your screen)
- Click the gear icon to enter details, such as the name of your movie, a short description, credits and copyright
- Use the function called “add derivative� to make compressed versions of your movie that friends & family can download!

There was no Final Cut Pro entry for tips, so here's one. Comment away.

For those still working on their videos and for anyone making a video as a final project, some shortcuts I found helpful were as such:

a -- selection arrow
b -- razor tool
n -- snap tool (on/off)
apple + L -- link/unlink audio and video
apple + H -- hide current program (this goes for most programs)

Adam and Cheryl mentioned "editing while taping," or in other words it'd be a good idea to storyboard beforehand. Below is an example and a blank storyboard for use. I hope this helps anyone still planning their projects.

Several things were covered during the green screen demo with Colin McFadden, some of it being technical (which I won't get into because much of it was over my head) and some of it being fairly basic concepts.

1) The backdrop should be fully extended so to minimize the appearance of any wrinkles in the fabric (this makes editing easier).
2) Lighting for the green screen is best when it's evenly distributed and neither too bright nor too dark. Differences in lighting along the screen can make the green appear darker or even yellowish, and can affect clothing, hair, and skin color in similar ways.
3) Don't wear green clothing unless you want to blend in.

Audacity and Wiretap free for sound art!

1. Remember to save a copy of the original recording before editing in audacity
because you won't be able to go back to it when editing with this program.
It is a "distructive" program in which all saves are permenant.

2. Export your sound as a mp3 or as wav if you want to use this sound in another
program. If you save as an audacity file, you probably won't be able to use it any
where else.
