Erik Carlson awarded John Leyerle-CARA Prize
Erik Carlson, a fourth-year PhD student in English has won the John Leyerle-CARA Prize for Dissertation Research, a fellowship sponsored by The Medieval Academy of America. The fellowship only goes to one student in an international competition, and is for $1000.00 dollars to fund a research trip to use the collections at the University of Toronto. Erik will use the collections of Toronto's Dictionary of Old English project for research related to his dissertation on the emotion of fear in Anglo-Saxon literature and culture.
