The next time you come to the West Bank, check out the Academic Blend Café in the basement of Wilson Library!

The Academic Blend Café offers fresh coffee, espresso drinks, and pastries. Fall - Spring hours are M-Th, 7am - 8pm and Friday 7am - 4pm. Summer hours are Monday – Friday - 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Selected Periodicals Move from Wilson to MLAC

The Wilson Periodicals Room is full, and selected older titles are being moved to the Minnesota Library Access Center. This will create space for the new issues that arrive every day.

You will find a list of journals that are candidates for transfer on the Wilson Periodicals Transfer to MLAC, Spring 2007 page. In you are concerned, please review the lists and let us know which titles you would like to keep in Wilson.

Jewish Literature Discussion Series

Jewish Literature Discussion Series
The University of Minnesota Libraries, partnering with Friends of Saint Paul Public Libraries have received a grant from the American Library Association (ALA) to sponsor a free five-part reading and discussion series called "Let's Talk About It: Jewish Literature - Identity and Imagination." The series, developed by ALA and Nextbook ("A Gateway to Jewish Literature, Culture and Ideas"), explores Jewish literature and culture through scholar-led discussions of contemporary and classic books on a common theme. Professor Maria Damon, faculty member in the University of Minnesota's Center for Jewish Studies, will lead the five discussions, which will explore the theme "Your Heart's Desire: Sex and Love in Jewish Literature". All five events will be held in July 2007 at the Saint Paul Public Library Highland Park branch.
