As reported in the September/October 2006 issue of Archaeology,
POxy (Oxyrhynchus Online) offers an indexed online database of 50,000 papyri fragments rescued from an ancient garbage dump in the Egyptian city of Oxyrhynchus. Previously illegible texts are revealed using multispectural imagining techniques.
Visit the site and view images of the papyri at http://www.papyrology.ox.ac.uk/POxy/index.html.
