Six flight attendants on an American Airlines flight were injured Sunday when their flight, bound for Miami, experienced severe turbulence. No passengers were injured in the event, American Airelines spokesman Tim Smith said.
There were 167 passengers on Flight 980 when it encountered turbulence about two hours into the flight on Sunday, CNN reported.
A doctor on the flight to Miami helped treat the injured, The Aviation Herald reported.
One flight attendant was injured by a falling food cart and five others were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
