Karin's Away; Mom Will Play

Surprise, Karin! I am here to tell everyone you are home for a few days to celebrate your birthday (July 13).

She will be 11,000 years old (using base 2, of course).

I think she should post a picture of herself--don't you??

Incidentally she has an interesting *summer vacation* planned for August---but I've already said too much.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 U ! Glad you had a safe trip back.

Thanks!

Happy Birthday, Karin.

I heard it was your birthday. So happy birthday and stuff. My favorite part of birthdays is cake. I like a homemade carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. The wife makes a good one.

I'm trying to see how many birthdays it will take before I can grow a decent mustache. Twenty-eight and counting, and barely 8 or 10 peach-fuzzy hairs. I can't wait for my hair to turn gray so I look older than 14.

Thanks, everyone, belatedly.

Jim, I certainly share your appreciation for carrot cake.
Good luck with the facial hair :-)

You know, your blog recently had a birthday.

Mine, too.

Worth a mention, right?

Good point, John. Its been around since June of last year. I didn't know this blog had shared a birthday with yours, though.

The current UThink main page is worth looking at. There's a comment about how much google loves UThink blogs. I guess part of it is that Google tends to give extra weight to university-based websites. Anyways, it's true -- in fact, one time I was doing a google search on god-knows-what and suddenly, I saw a post from my own blog pop up on the results list. One that I had forgotten I had even written. So I'm glad that my thoughts are now properly archived, because my memory sure wasn't getting the job done.

Also, Oil for Sissies is mentioned for its high rate of comments. This blog occasionally will reach tenth place on that list but that's about it.

I've noticed that there's a lot of very flashy new blogs out there on UThink. If I had the time (ha ha ha) then I would try to revitalize mine a bit, but I can't seem to justify to myself the time that I would spend on it...
