Semester Break, Spring Housing Info and Free Laundry!

The Fall Semester is moving quickly and Residential Life is making plans for Spring Semester housing options.  If you will be graduating, transferring, or leaving UMC next semester, please contact our office immediately.

If you are returning as a student - however would choose to move off campus for Spring Semester, we will allow 15 on-campus students to be released from their housing contract on a first come basis, although housing contracts are for the entire year.  We are expecting more new students for Spring and would like to offer our students currently residing at America's Best Value Inn an opportunity to move on campus and we will need more space.

The Residence Halls will close at 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 15th and re-open again at 1:00pm on Sunday, January 8th.  If your plans will require you to stay on campus during Semester Break, the cost is $12.00 per day and you must register at the Residential Life Office in Centennial Hall.  More information regarding Break Housing will be forth coming.

The Halls will not be closing over the Thanksgiving Holiday but our offices will be closed.  If you have concerns, contact a Community Adviser (CA) at 218-289-0604.  In appreciation of you choosing to live on campus, the department will offer free laundry beginning Saturday, November 19th through Sunday, November 27th.  Have safe travels and a restful holiday!

Reminder....Friday, November 11th is Veterans Day, "Freedom is not Free".  We salute staff members CAs Andrew Rice, Alvin Tong and Security Officer Dale Martinson and all other UMC Students and Staff who have served our country!
