Dear Suites Residents,

One important notice: Beginning tomorrow (Monday, January 21st) the University Suites outside doors will be locked according to the following schedule:

1. Outside doors will unlock at 7:00 AM, Monday-Friday.

2. Doors will automatically lock at 8:00 PM each week night.

3. Doors are locked 24 hours per day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Your individual suite keys are used to unlock the outside doors. Please make sure to carry this key with you at all times.  Remember: Your first two lockouts are FREE, the third and fourth cost $10 each, and every lockout beyond that costs $25 each.

Tours of the new residence hall are scheduled for this week- Tuesday, November 27, Wednesday, November 28, and Thursday, November 29; at 4:00 PM and again at 5:00 PM, on each day.  Please meet in the Centennial Lobby for the tours.

The "University Suites" will be available for students prior to spring semester.  New "University Suites" residents will be invited back to campus early- Thursday, January 10 - Saturday, January 12, for no additional charge.  Halls open for all returning students on Sunday, January 13, and classes begin on Monday, January 14.

Also, we anticipate single rooms will be available in McCall and Skyberg Halls, as students choose to move into the new hall.  The fee for a single room is an additional $899 per semester surcharge.  We are now taking requests for single rooms at the Centennial front desk.  Please stop by to reserve your single room!

Residential Life will be sending out housing placement letters by the end of June. Please note these will be sent via email.

New Students Move In
Residential Life move in for new students begins Friday, August 24th at 8am. Early check in begins Thursday, August 23rd from 4pm-9pm, but you must register with the Office of Residential Life to participate in early check in. All students will check in at Centennial Hall for keys and room assignments. Please call the office at (218) 281-8531 for more information.

Returning Students Move In
Residential Life move in for returning students begins Sunday, August 26th at noon. All students will check in at Centennial Hall for keys and room assignments.

Early Arrivals
Students who arrive prior to their designated date of arrival must register in advance. These students will be housed based on availability and will be charged a nightly fee.

Loft Kit Rentals
Residential Life has a limited number of loft kits that are available on a first come first served basis. If you are interested in renting a loft kit please fill out the rental form and mail it to the Office of Residential Life at 2900 University Ave, Crookston, MN 56716.

Students still looking for housing
As of May 1st, our residence halls are full for fall semester. However, we anticipate that some cancellations will occur over the summer months. If not, we will be housing students in a near-by hotel, the America's Best Value Inn. Please contact our office for more information at (218) 281-8531.

The Residence Halls will close at 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 5th and all residents are expected to move out by this day and time. If you need to stay beyond 5pm, you will need to stop in to the Office of Residential Life in Centennial Hall to register.  Please refer to Hall Closing Posters in the halls and emails from Residential Life Staff regarding proper closing procedures.

It's not too late to sign up for summer housing.  Summer rentals are available over summer break in Skyberg C Wing or Centennial Hall for those who will take classes, work, or for those who simply just want to stay here and relax.  Please stop in immediately to discuss your housing plans with Sandy during office hours, register and complete proper rental forms.

Check List For Checking Out

Halls Close Saturday May 5th at 5:00pm

- Sign up for a time to check out with your CA (Sign up sheet on their door)

- You must be completely moved out before doing the check out with CA (The CA will not check you out until you are completely moved out)

- Vacuum all living areas, wipe down furniture, lock windows and close blinds

- Clean out fridge (Do not unplug)

- Apartment: mop kitchen and bathroom, wipe down counters & clean shower

- Residence halls will be available over the summer for a $12.00 night charge or monthly rate. Students MUST register with the Office of Residential life before 5:00pm May 5th. Anyone not registered will be fined.
