Sunday v.2

Lots of people were asking for help with the Value Port and copy machines. The copy machine gave me some trouble...double-sided copies worked fine the first time. But the second time, it gave me a message saying "remove paper from duplex"?? It would only let me print one-sided because apparently I did not know how to properly 'remove paper from duplex'. So I used a courtesy card while helping the patron.

Most of the night's business occurred within the first hour and a half of my desk shift. The rest of the night was very quiet...with the exception of having to clear a jam from the public-use stapler, which took 25 minutes. It was a VERY stubborn jam.

Hello Amy,

If the patron's double-sided copy job has an odd number of pages, they need to press the # key in order to get the last (one-sided) page of their request. If they don't do that, the page sits in the duplex tray until you manually remove it -- this is the likely story behind the error message you saw. To remove it you can just open the vertical doors on the right side of the machine -- you should be able to see the paper pretty easily.

Very best, Mark
