Not much to speak of out of the ordinary at the desk. Fairly slow with the typical questions about hours and where to make change, there was an unusually high number of people looking for places to get food tonight though...
Only other thing worth commenting about had to do with the security guards and closing the copy center. I know that towards the end of last semester the issue came up as to whether or not the guards were supposed to be escorting the copy center people with the money to the back room. It's a pretty short walk so I think a lot of times it just gets ignored, but tonight the guards showed up at around 6:03 to escort them. According to them they are "supposed" to be there to do it each night. I don't know if this was still something that we were unclear about, but it was nice to hear it directly from a guard.

Yes, the monitors are supposed to be there a few minutes before closing to escort the cash register drawer to Room 2. However their reliability in doing this has been a recurring problem ever since the copy service moved to that location. My students should be letting me know when monitors regularly aren't showing up.
