On Veteran's Day, the United States honors our veterans and active men and women in uniform. It's a day to remember the sacrifices others have made and to be thankful for the liberties that have been bestowed upon us.
It was a privilege today to take part in a celebration for our military MBA students. Recently, a great deal of attention has been brought to the Carlson School of Management because of its recognition by G.I. Jobs as a "military friendly" school. The Carlson School and the University of Minnesota truly provides exceptional, one-of-a-kind support to our veterans:
▪ assimilation back to academia
▪ a strong, supportive network
▪ veteran-specific financial support and/or guidance
▪ translating military skills to the "business world"
Our new recognition and the creation of the Carlson MBA Program Military Initiative have aided in the establishment of the MBA Military Veterans Club, which hosts a variety of student functions (both social and philanthropic). Check-out our website and videos for more information about the Carlson MBA and our student testimonials. Are you a veteran or currently active in the military and would like to learn more about the Carlson MBA? Please feel free to contact me or Charles Altman, a retired U.S. Navy Commander, directly - we are eager to help you!
From the bottom of our hearts, the Carlson School expresses sincere gratitude to all U.S. military veterans and active men and women. Because of the sacrifices you and your families have made, we are free. Thank you.
