It is widely understood that business is global and the Carlson Full-Time MBA was among one of the first few top-ranked programs to incorporate global experience requirement into the program. A global perspective and cross-cultural competence are highly valued in business and our goal is to ensure our students acquire a strong understanding of the global marketplace through practical and memorable experiences abroad.

This year, our 2nd year Full-Time MBA students kicked off their new year by departing for their Global Discovery Program trips in one of three locations: China, India and the United Arab Emirates/Oman. Our students are nearing the end of their time abroad and have experienced how multi-national enterprises, trade agencies, small and medium-sized enterprises work in emerging market economies.
In our own students' words, a few highlights of their experiences have included:
• Learning about the real estate development of Dubai and Palm Island
• Corporate site visits at ISB and Infosys
• Visiting a carbon neutral city
• Meeting Nandan Nilekani and Navyug Mohnot

It is experiences like these that make our Carlson MBA program remarkable. Interested in seeing more images? Lindsey Lund, Carlson MBA Class of 2013 has chronicled her experiences in India through countless captivating images. See here.
