Hmm...Great you found fulfillment in your MBA, but what about if the tipping point is realizing you don't want your career to have anything in common with your MBA?...
Sam, great question. While some MBA students informational interview for traditional "MBA-track" jobs and learn that it's not the type of job they want, it is unlikely that they will find a job that has literally nothing in common with their MBA. For example, an MBA student might decide she wants to open a dance studio. In this case an MBA is not strictly required for the job but the skills and knowledge learned during the MBA can help her to set up an effective business. She will have a basic understanding of Accounting, Marketing, and Information Systems as well as how all the functions work together to create a successful business.
