Srini Seshadri to speak at December '1st Tuesday'

President of Smiths Medical to share experiences from more than 20 years in medical industry.

Srini Seshadri, President of Smiths Medical, will present at the next Carlson School of Management "1st Tuesday Speaker Series" on Dec. 3 at 11:30 a.m. at the McNamara Alumni Center.

Seshadri has worked in international marketing career in the medical industry for more than 20 years. He began his career in the Marketing Management Program at GE, and upon completion, assumed a role as field market development specialist. In subsequent years, Seshadri held positions of ascending responsibility within the company. In 2004, he was promoted to chief marketing officer for GE Healthcare Technologies.

In 2006, he became president of Smiths Medical, a leading supplier of medical devices, consumables, and equipment for global markets that generates $1.4 billion in revenue annually. Since joining Smiths, Seshadri has driven the organization from a collection of small, stand-alone P&Ls to a unified division with common global processes.

Seshadri holds a BE in chemical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, an MS in chemical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and an MBA in finance and operations management from the University of Rochester.
