Upper Midwest Public Opinion Archive Launched

The 2006 Elections Project at the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance has just launched the Upper Midwest Public Opinion Archive. The archive is the most comprehensive public opinion database on Upper Midwestern politics, policy, and elections, culled from leading regional and national polls.

Hundreds of poll questions from surveys conducted in Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin are now posted, although this represents just a fraction of what the Archive will contain in the coming weeks; the Archive will be continually updated with new polls, as well as extend further back in time as older survey data gets processed.

In addition to the Upper Midwest Public Opinion Archive, please be sure to also visit the Minnesota Poll Archive, which contains several hundred tables of polling results compiled from all 60 surveys sponsored by the Star Tribune from 2000-2005. This archive will also be updated shortly with 2006 polling data, as well as extend back pre-2000 in the coming months.
