Obama Wins Hawaii Caucuses

Barack Obama won his 10th straight Democratic contest late Tuesday night when the Illinois junior Senator won the Hawaii caucuses. Obama has now won 23 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Hillary Clinton has won just 11 states, plus Michigan, Florida, and American Samoa.

Obama was once considered an underdog to Clinton because the majority of his early victories were in caucus states, like Hawaii, but the Senator's recent (and decisive) primary victories in Wisconsin, Virginia, and Maryland have put a rest to those criticisms. Obama has now won 11 of 13 state caucus contests and 12 of 21 primary contests (excluding Michigan, Florida, and D.C.).

Obama now leads Clinton in the number of contests won, the number of pledged delegates, and the raw vote total on the Democratic side.

The final numbers from Hawaii:

Obama = 76%
Clinton = 24%
