Minnesota STEM Network
April 16, 8:00am - 2:00pm
Medtronic Worldwide Headquarters, 710 Medtronic Parkway, Fridley, MN
We are building momentum and making progress in developing a statewide network to raise the profile of STEM and increase collaboration, opportunities and access to STEM in Minnesota for children through adulthood. We hope you will (re)join us in this effort.
Incorporating information from attendees in our first meeting on September 17, 2009 and drawing from the best practices of states that have preceded Minnesota in similar efforts, we will learn from the experiences of our keynote speaker Jan Morrison, of the Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM in Ohio, who has helped states set up similar statewide networks. This event is also the kick-off of Minnesota's involvement in the National Girls Collaborative.
Who should attend: leaders in business and industry concerned with STEM workforce development, K-12 and higher education, nonprofits in STEM education, policy makers and legislators, and community leaders.
