Putting Public Health First in Chemical Regulation Policy

Professor Deborah Swackhamer appeared on MPR with Louis Guillette, Professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolinato, to discuss chemical regulations and the effects to the environment.

Swackhamer compared different approaches between the US and the EU for chemical regulation. Where the US harm has to be proven vs the EU where safety has to be demonstrated. Part of Swackhamer's work with CSTPP is to forward policy efforts that support green chemistry and better chemical management.
