Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy Seminars:
Deborah Swackhamer, Professor and Charles M. Denny, Jr. Chair of Science, Technology, and Public Policy
November 1st from 12:30 - 1:30 in the Stassen Room, Humphrey Center
Are you concerned about toxic chemicals in the environment? Do you think public policies protect us from toxic chemicals? Do you drink water out of plastic bottles and think it is safe? Come here Deb Swackhamer talk about our public policies on toxic chemicals, why they need fixing, and what Minnesota is doing about it.
This is the third talk in the Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy Feedback and Research (STEP FAR) Seminars. STEP FAR is designed for students, staff, faculty, and fellows to get together in an informal setting to discuss their projects, research-in-progress, opportunities, and a variety of other issues related to science, technology, environment, energy, and policy.
STEP FAR is a bi-weekly seminar on Tuesdays from 12:30 - 1:30 in the Humphrey Center (rooms 175 or 170). The Humphrey School faculty and fellows leading these discussions include: Jeffrey Bielicki, Steve Kelley, Jennifer Kuzma, Deborah Swackhamer and Elizabeth Wilson.
