Carlson School of Management Web Redesign Project

Getting Beyond Globalization

Success in business today requires an "us" and "them" mindset, rather than the "us" versus "them" approach that defined the past. One of the ways we have fostered this mentality at the Carlson School is by insisting that all of our students have an international educational experience.

Our research shows the approach is working and you need not look any further than our alum Steele Lorenz to see the impact. Less than two years after earning his BSB at the Carlson School, this young man from Green Bay resigned his position as a consultant and moved from Minneapolis to Madurai, India (near my hometown).

There, his company My Rain is helping small farmers improve their yield and make their farms sustainable. Steele's story of social entrepreneurship is truly remarkable as you'll see in this wonderful new video!
