Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand, LLP and Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company host successful event for Minnesota Cup Semi-Finalists

On Thursday, July 18, Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand, LLP and Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company hosted an event for Minnesota Cup semi-finalists titled, Insights on Success-From the Competitors' View to the Judges' Review. The well-attended event featured winners from previous competitions as well as division and grand prize judges.

The event began with a panel featuring past Minnesota Cup winners Julie Gilbert Newrai, Doug Ruth and Sue Kruskopf. Moderator Terri Krivosha instructed an informative panel where Minnesota Cup winners shared their insights and advice on how to leverage the full value of the Minnesota Cup experience--regardless of the outcome. The panelists spoke to the essential elements for starting a successful business and developing a top management team, also providing commentary on brand building and differentiation in cluttered markets.

Minnesota Cup judges Shawn McIntee and Beth Kieffer Leonard joined the Past Winners Panel to address questions current semi-finalists have about the competition, offering information on what reviewers look for in the applications and how past winners have distinguished themselves from the rest of the competing teams.

The next round of judging begins on July 27. Semi-finalists need to submit a 10 page business plan and 15 slide presentation by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26.

Thank you Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand, LLP and Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company for hosting a wonderful event! The panel's advice was invaluable for our 2013 Minnesota Cup semi-finalists.
