Minnesota Cup is excited to announce additional benefits for our 2013 participants! Beginning this fall, Minnesota Cup sponsor Medical Industry Leadership Institute (MILI) and Carlson Ventures Enterprise (CVE) will offer services to a total of five different Minnesota Cup companies.
The MILI Valuation Laboratory will select three projects from the Life Science & Health IT Division to participate in its fall program. The course provides companies with an investment opportunity assessment that examines such issues as market size, regulatory approval, intellectual property, and financial return. Each firm will receive a written report as well as a PowerPoint presentation of report highlights. The MILI Valuation Laboratory is an interdisciplinary course consisting of students from eight different colleges across the University of Minnesota campus.
Two finalists from the five remaining divisions will participate in the Carlson Ventures Enterprise (CVE) fall program. MBA student teams in the CVE class will work with two companies to research specific elements of their new venture concepts and develop recommendations to improve their effectiveness. Students will present the results to the companies after the eight week project is completed.
Both MILI and CVE operate within the Carlson School of Management, the organizing sponsor of the Minnesota Cup. The school demonstrates its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs through its research, teaching and programs.
