How do you support clinical and translational research?photo.JPG
In my role, I work to make the administrative activities within the University as easy as possible to navigate for those conducting clinical and translational research. This includes assisting with human resources, finances, the use or development of technology solutions, and the day-to-day supplies and devices needed for this work.

What does your typical work day at CTSI look like?
Often much of my day is spent in meetings learning about the activities of the various functions within CTSI, understanding how other departments and units outside of CTSI are accomplishing their operational and financial tasks and goals, or discussing possible solutions to make it easier to conduct clinical and translational research at the University of Minnesota.

What do you like to do when you're not at CTSI?
Much of my time away from CTSI is spend watching various sporting activities with my husband (both in person and on TV) as well as enjoying the company of our two dogs, Siggy and Grizzly.

What is your favorite or current read?
I actually haven't been in the habit of reading for many years but recently purchased a Nook and am looking forward to getting back into reading. Items on my reading list so far are several by Vince Flynn and John Grisham.

Favorite quote?
Dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you're willing to pay the price. - Vince Lombardi
