The author includes a link to the actual 2014 budget proposal, allowing the reader to find the information about the budget on areas that they are interested in. The article also uses some of the data to explain possible repercussions of the budget proposal and the opinions of different politicians on the budget proposal. The article also links to an interactive graphics, where the reader can compare the president's proposal to proposals from both parties and historical averages. The interactive graphic also shows what percentage of the budget proposal would be covered by deficit spending and revenue spending. To make the interactive graphic, the reported would have to have knowledge of a computer program that makes graphics. The reporter would have had to look at several budget proposals to create the interactive graphic. The interactive graphic would engage the reader, by allowing them to compare different budget proposals.

The suspects intended to use five pipe bombs and another device similar to the bombs used in the marathon attacks on April 15, said New York police commissioner Raymond W. Kelly, the New York Times reported.

The Associated Press reported Dzhokhar Tsarnaev told investigators from his hospital bed that he and has brother had made plans to attack New York.

Kelly said the suspects' plan fell apart when the brothers' stolen SUV was low on gas, the Associated Press reported. The brothers stopped for gas last Thursday and the victim of the carjacking escaped and called police.

Later that night, the suspects engaged in a shootout with the police, leaving the older brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, dead, the Associated Press Reported.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, was charged for the Boston marathon bombing that killed three people and injured over 260 people, the Associated Press reported. He may face the death penalty.

Thousands of armed officers took to the streets of Boston and surrounding areas Friday searching for a 19-year-old Boston Marathon bombing suspect, according to the Associated Press. His older brother and alleged accomplice was killed overnight in a violent police shootout.

Local, state and federal law enforcement officers got involved with the manhunt, going door-to-door through a 20-block area of the community, David Procopio, a Boston State Police spokesman, told the Boston Globe. Procopio said K-9 teams, explosive experts and SWAT officers are involved.

The suspect at large, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was a college student, and had lived in the U.S. for about a decade with his brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, an uncle said. They had lived in Dagestan in Southern Russia, according to the Associated Press. The brothers last known address was in Cambridge, Mass.

The Boston Globe reported Colonel Timothy Alben, head of the State Police, said the search was about 60 percent complete in a press conference shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Police warned nearly one million residents of the Boston area to stay indoors, the Boston Globe reported. Mass transit was shut down and businesses were asked not to open.

The Associated Press reported the second suspect was shot and killed overnight after the brothers allegedly killed an MIT police officer, severely injured another police officer and tossed explosives at police during a car chase.

The author writes about what they are actually seeing to introduce the reader to what is likely a new culture for them. The author went to Ali's restaurant and viewed some of his collection that he plans to include in the museum. The author spoke with Ali about how he got the idea for the museum, and why it is important. Ali told the author that many artifacts that were in the national museum in Somalia, have been moved or lost during the civil war in Somalia. The author included info on how Ali obtained some of the artifacts, where he has already shown them and where he wants to put them permanently. The author also included information about an event benefiting the museum. The article seems a bit superficial, because she only spoke with one source. Her information and detail that could only have come from seeing Ali's collection, helps makes the story more substantive. The author could've dug deeper for the story by talking with other community members. She should've spoken with the libraries or schools that have shown his collection and someone in the West Bank Community Coalition. She could've also spoken with other members of the Cedar-Riverside community, possibly some of the customers at Ali's restaurant. She could've tried to speak with someone who not from Somalia, but who had seen his collection for another perspective.

A seven-hour standoff ended Sunday after a police robot subdued the armed suspect, who had barricaded himself in a Minneapolis residence, with a chemical irritant, police told the Star Tribune.

Eric Christopher, 29, was arrested by SWAT officers and treated at North Memorial Hospital, CBS News reported. He was booked into Hennepin County Jail on charges of false imprisonment and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Around 4:40 a.m. Sunday, a woman flagged down a squad car in north Minneapolis and told police there was a domestic disturbance in the 3500 block of Newton Avenue N, Sgt. Stephen McCarty told the Star Tribune. She said the incident involved involved two men, a woman and a child.

One man, the woman and the child were able to escape the house without incident, CBS News reported.

Police learned the remaining man inside the residence was armed, CBS News reported. Police tried to get the man to exit peacefully for several hours, but after about seven hours, police sent in a robot to subdue the suspect.

Nearby residents were told to stay away from their windows and not to leave their homes, McCarty told the Star Tribune.

CBS News reported police said the incident is still under investigation.

At least 14 people with life-threatening conditions attributed to tainted meth use have been hospitalized in the east metro since Thursday, the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office told the Star Tribune.

The apparently tainted methamphetamine caused some of the patients to experience hallucinations, hyper-anxiety and combativeness, according to the Star Tribune. All are expected to recover, said Ramsey County Sheriff's Office spokesman Randy Gustafson.

The overdose victims are from St. Paul, Roseville, Maplewood and Cottage Grove, and were treated at Regions or United Hospital in St. Paul, the Pioneer Press reported. They are both men and women and are a range of ages, but many are in their 20s.

The Star Tribune reported other symptoms of the tainted meth included extreme agitation, excited delirium, temperature rising as high as 105 degrees and a racing heartbeat.

"We probably have a lot of unreported cases, given the nature of meth abuse," Gustafson told the Pioneer Press. "I imagine there are a lot of cases we haven't heard about."

Authorities said they hope the supply is running out and did not report any tainted meth cases in Hennepin County, the Star Tribune reported.

People on the tainted meth are combative, authorities told the Star Tribune. Authorities said they are worried that they could hurt someone else.

"It is really scary," Gustafson told the Star Tribune. "You've got the poison of meth, and then somebody is adding something to it that's making it even more poisonous."

The kids were identified by police Wednesday, but may be too young to charge with a crime, Sgt. Steve McCarty told the Star Tribune Thursday.

McCarty said the kids' motive for throwing the bomb is unknown, the Star Tribune reported. The bottle just missed Greenway bicyclist Drew Ditlefsen as he biked under the 15th Avenue bridge on April 3.

"I just heard a loud thud with a glass and just like a whoosh," Ditlesfen told Fox News last week. Ditlesfen said he was shaken for an hour after the attempted attack.

The Star Tribune reported McCarty said the case is being considered for charges at the Hennepin County attorney's office.
