The Wait!

Having filled up on gas just yesterday I didn't think it was necessary to believe the gas gage reading EMPTY. So rather than stopping to gas up I made my way to the bank. Just as I was pulling out of the parking lot my car died! Yep, I had run out of gas! As bad as it was I was right in the middle of the entryway sticking half way out into traffic with an incline behind me, making it almost impossible to push my car back into the parking lot with out at least three super strong guys. I resulted to call my boyfriend to come save me, but in the mean time there was nothing I could do but wait. As the numbers went up of cars that pulled up behind me failing to see my flashing lights and go around me, so did the number of poeple that didn't ask if I needed a hand. I was so surprised that no one stopped to help, accept one nice man, but by then my savior of the day was almost there to rescue me. So once my hero arrived he pulled out the miniature gas tank just to find out that the spout was broken. Having had to save things the past few weeks for the consumption project I remembered that I saved my cup from class earlier when I had coffe and hot chocolate. I grabbed the cup poked a hole in the bottom and used it as a spout to put some gas in my supposedly empty tank! Yeah it didn't work as well as I would have liked it to because gasoline eats through styrofoam, but it was good enough to get me to the gas station. So thank you so much for bringing treats to class that day, it helped save the day!
