I finally got my spending up for the past month, and decided to break it down to see how I'm doing. Over the last month I spent $144.89 on food and drink. However, an unusually high amount ($23.95) was spent on beer, due to the World Cup. Coffeeshop spending was low, as I haven't been studying much, only $13.99 on coffee and tea.

Then I'm a bit disturbed at the $34.32 spent on milk. True, getting my protein from milk means I don't have to buy other stuff, like meat, but it would probably be healthier to diversify. At least I need to think about whether I want to keep spending this money at the 8th Street Market, or start saving 50 cents a gallon by shopping a bit farther from my house. Eggs, maybe?

So taking out those amount above, I spent $72.63 on non-liquid sustenance last month, which comes out to $2.42/day. Not bad, but this was due to my eating all the stuff that's been sitting in my cupboards for a year or so. The cupboards are inching towards bare, which means I'm going to have to start buying food again soon. This is leading to all sorts of dilemmas about where to buy said food, but I don't think they're worth boring the world with... at least not right now.
