Deer Bites Man Story: Hunters falling from trees

Two hunters have plummeted to their deaths in as many days as the Minnesota deer hunting season started not with a bang, but with a whimper.

84-year-old, Arthur Joseph Knafla fell to his death after his clothes caught fire as he attempted to light his propane heater outside of Hibbing, according to the Duluth News Tribune.

Another hunter, Gene A. Berthiaume, 72, of St. Paul died when he fell from his stand in Beltrami County, according to the Star Tribune.

No deer could be reached for comment.

The lead is fairly standard, it is more the scope of the subject's work that is more weighty than those found in most obituaries. I believe it is effective in introducing the impact that Ramsey's scientific work had on the world.

The obit is story- like personal narrative, where as a resume is a dry cataloging of skills, qualifications and work history.


Is Cain Able?

Flummoxed by increasing accusations of sexual harassment, presidential candidate, Herman Cain's attempted to change the tone.

Last week Cain's campaign had made several ham fisted swipes at the swirl of accusations that he had made lewd comments to multiple female co-workers in the past.
Cain seemed to make statements that did not help his predicament, blaming fellow GOP candidates, Texas Governor Rick Perry and frontrunner Mitt Romney.

In spite of Cain's attempt to move past the controversy influential Republicans appeared on the Meet the Press Sunday urging Cain to be more forthcoming about the allegations, according to the New York Times.

Cain claimed he faced faceless claims and declared, "I am in it to win it," in an interview that aired on Fox News' Geraldo Live Sunday night.

Kardashian Wedding seeks Closure in Minnesota

Reality television star Kim Kardashian was in Minnesota today seeking closure with her estranged husband, Kris Humphries, according to TMZ.

Kardashian filed for divorce after just 72 days of marriage to the NBA star, after a disagreements over where to live, Humpries' prenuptial demands, and his hiring of a publicist, according to the New York Daily News.

Kardashian, no stranger to the public eye herself, has received criticism from fans who have suggested the short lived marriage was just the latest in a series of publicity events.
