Bedside reading

Another title in my bedside stack of books is Geoffrey Ward's First Class Temperment. It's about Franklin Roosevelt and focuses on the period of his life between his marriage to Eleanor Roosevelt and his election to the presidency. Therefore it includes his entry into politics, his service as Assistant Secretary of the Navy (in the Wilson administration), his Vice-Presidential candidacy in 1920 and his struggle with the effects of polio. The story of his return to politics and governorship of NY is fascinating.
