The American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) inducted urban planner John Shardlow, FAICP, of St. Paul into the membership of AICP’s College of Fellows at a ceremony held at the American Planning Association’s (APA) 2010 National Planning Conference in New Orleans.

Shardlow, a principal with Bonestroo, an engineering, planning and environmental firm with offices in St. Paul and 11 other upper Midwest cities, was named a Fellow for his outstanding contributions in professional planning practice. During his 31-year career he has worked with more than 100 communities on everything from regional land use plans and redevelopment projects to main street revitalizations and high profile environmental and conservation projects.

He received both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Minnesota in 1978.
