Author Steven Berlin Johnson presents the keynote at the School of Nursing's History of Nursing conference, September 24-27, 2009. Johnson will deliver his keynote on Friday, September 25, 2009, at the Saint Paul Hotel, 350 Market Street, Saint Paul. Johnson is the author of The Ghost Map, a thrilling historical account of the worst cholera outbreak in Victorian London. The book uses a historical and biographical narrative to discuss ideas that have profoundly shaped the world we live in. Johnson will deliver a stimulating and scholarly presentation on the London cholera epidemic, highlighting parallels and contrasts between thinking during that time and today as it relates to the approach of epidemics.
