Dina Fesler's (BS Costume Design, 1986 and former Buckman Fellow) activities in Afghanistan are profiled by Kristin Tillotson in the Star Tribune. Fesler went to Kabul to shoot an educational video but got sidetracked when they visited Charahee Qambar, the region's largest refugee camp where 70 percent of the children have pneumonia. As a result, Fesler negotiated low-cost medical care for the refugees with three hospitals in Kabul, the nearest of which is 15 minutes away by car. Fesler's rescue of a dying Afghan baby is also featured in a CNN report.
